I am oh sooooo tempted to get this camera already.  I’ve been looking at a lot of reviews for this flagship during some downtime at work.  I am so ready to pull the trigger now!

It was cold… it was very cold… However, I did promise her that I would do her senior pics and it’s been long overdue.  She’s the next best thing in golf and recently got a scholarship awarded at Weber State University.  We’re planning on doing more “golf” shots later this Spring when it starts to warm up and as soon as the snow melts.

Shot with a Pentax k-x.  I’m thinking of getting the k-x instead of the K-7 for its low light performance.

My mom turned 68 last week. And as such, we had a little birthday gathering for her.  She was soooo excited to get the Sarah Palin book!

I’ve been thinking about upgrading my lowly Macbook for awhile now.  And while I was looking at the benefits of the new iMacs over the Mac Pros, I ran across this one. Pretty nifty, although I think  it would take me a month to finish something like this…

A friend from NCOA wanted me to do their family pics while he was TDY here in Utah.  This was just my second family shoot.  And as such, I was a little nervous since I don’t do much of these.  (I like taking pictures of girls alone better…  hahaha)  This was a tough assignment for me.  But I was able to get some really good shots out of it.  The sun was still a little high and as you know, that means hard shadows in areas you don’t want.  However, all in all… I say that this was a very good shoot!

Last year’s Utah Football Team was a memorable one.  I was at the TCU blackout game where Utah came back in the final minutes to win the game.  That was, by far, the best football game I have ever seen.

Here she is…  It took me awhile to edit this because of laziness.  I’ve also been busy with school among other things.  But I’m glad that I have week left here in beautiful Colorado Springs.  Can’t wait to go back home to Utah!!!

I had the pleasure of photographing this exceptional “country” girl last week. I actually wanted a very “dressy theme” but since she didn’t really have a lot of dresses to choose from, we decided to do a country one. She definitely pulled it off!  This was a very fun shoot. We went to the Academy (right outside the gate) and started shooting. However, as soon as I asked her to change clothes a cop pulled up and told us to stop. What a tool!!! He told us that we weren’t allowed to shoot since we “might be taking pictures of the cadets”. But as you can see from the photos below, there’s really nothing in the background.  He even looked at all the shots we took to make sure that we haven’t compromised the Academy.  So, our photoshoot was cut off short!

We planned to do another shoot a couple days later.  However, the weather was not cooperating…  it snowed!

I initially just wanted to drive around at the Academy and take some shots.  I ended up watching the AF game against Wyoming. I realized that it would’ve been my only opportunity to watch the Falcons at their stadium.  They go to Utah next week.  It was such a boring game until the 4th quarter.  The Falcons won though… 10-0!  Snooze…

The Academy is such a beautiful place.  It is, perhaps, the prettiest Base I have ever seen.  I felt like I was driving through Yellowstone National Park.  Of course, like most people, I think of the famous Chapel whenever I think of the AFA.
