I had a shoot with Lydia yesterday… and to say the least, we were eaten alive by those nasty bugs. They were literally in my hair eating my scalp. (I have really thick hair too – it didn’t help at all) The first part of the shoot wasn’t so bad. But the closer we got to the water, more bugs decided to treat us as food. It was really horrible. We wasted a lot of time trying to keep them away from us – to no avail. I wanted to get some shots by the tall grass near the water but the bugs were unbearable. Nevertheless, we were able to get some good ones.

I’m still in the process of editing these photos… but in the meantime what I have shown are my favorites so far of Lydia.

So, my favorite freaking band is finally coming to Utah again this summer.  But since I’m not going to be here – i’ll be in Iraq fighting for your freedom…  i’m going to freaking miss it again!!!  WTF!!!  This just pissess me off more.  I’m already missing both of my sons’ birthdays, my birthday, my anniversary, church camp, and summer itself,…  and now this?  I wasn’t even allowed to go on leave to California because "it was too close to the deployment date".  And to top it off…  summer in Iraq is like summer in the planet Mercury – it’s too freaking hot!!! 

Tickets are still available, however.  And if I act now, I can actually, purposely, break my leg as an excuse to not go to the desert.  But oh well, I’m actually excited to go to the desert.  But I still would love to see DMB live!  Of all the bands to see perform live – they need to be on top of everyone’s list.  If you’re here you should go.  West Valley City, Utah, August 27 at the USANA Ampitheatre.
