Happy Thanksgiving

November 27, 2008

I’m stuffed! There’s a lot of food here. Actually… there’s too much food here. Good enough to last a week. We wanted to watch a movie today in the theaters but we’re way to full to even go out. Time to sleep and let it all settle down and digest.

Harry Potter was supposed to come out around this time but it got pushed to next year because of Rowling’s new book. They didn’t want all the attention towards the new book! How dumb!!! I was looking forward to this one.

My wife told me a few weeks ago that we’ll be flying to Virginia on the 22nd of November at midnight. I was thinking to my head… “Cool, I may be able to see the rivalry game.” But then a couple of weeks ago, she told me that we are, in fact, flying Friday night. I was a little pissed.

So, yesterday, I was scrambling to figure out where to watch the game since my in-laws does not have The Mountain channel. I was forced to listen to the radio broadcast online. However, I was on Utefans.net and somebody there gave a link to a live broadcast of the game. It was a little choppy most of the time and the feed stopped for a good 20 minutes. But I was happy enough to see my team spank the Cougs.

Here’s a clip of last night’s game. Ute’s win 48-24!! Oh, Dave Bevan… how do you feel now bitch!

New Servers

November 17, 2008

It’s a good thing I’ve only had one other post before changing servers. I’ve pretty much lost everything on the other one. My old hosting account was recently bought by another company. And with numerous downtimes, I have decided that it is time to change to a new reliable one. My old host (55host.net) was bought by Gigenoc.com… So I’ve decided to go back to ipowerweb.com. I was a previous client but they were doing numerous updates to old accounts that my church’s website experienced too much downtime. As frustrating as that was, I still know that they are pretty reliable compared to the one I just had.

HSM 3

November 9, 2008

hsm3I was forced by my son to watch this movie in the theaters. I’ve seen the first two movies a lot since my son adores “Troy Bolton” – Zack Efron very much. I have to admit, the songs are pretty catchy and after being bombarded by those tunes both in my car (when my son is with me) and Jakob singing them, it sticks with me for awhile. HSM3 is no different. The acting still sucks, however, I have to admit that I kinda liked the movie. Jakob, of course, loved it. The theater was not packed at all, and there were only three guys in there (including me). I begged my wife to meet us at the theaters since I didn’t really want to be seen watching the movie. I even waited for her to come before we bought the ticket. The thought of saying… “three tickets for High School Musical, please” sounds too gay for me.

The movie, though, I think is a rental. But my son did enjoy it and I did promise to take him out this weekend. Skip it and just wait for it to come out on DVD.

By the way, I was at the “blackout” game this Thursday at the U. I still cannot get over the feeling I felt during the last two minutes of the game. It had a lot of nervousness, panic… coupled with elation, ecstacy, and jubilation. All I have to say, is wow!
