Questions & Answers
February 22, 2009Do you shoot film or digital?
I shoot with a Pentax Digital SLR set-up. If you are looking specifically for a film photographer, please ask the Yellow Pages.
Do you work with an assistant?
I often do a session with the help of an assistant. However, since everyone nowadays is pretty much busy, this is not always the case. Hence, I always encourage my clients to bring a friend or a family member. It also reassures them that I am safe to work with.
How many photos will I get?
I always aim for at least 25 finished images per hour of shooting and I also typically take about 150 to 200 shots per session.
So, how many photos am I going to get?
I used to give ALL the photos I’ve shot to a client on a CD. However, I realized that they may be posting/printing some of the unedited and horrible ones without my knowledge. But just like any other photographer in the world, I only want to take credit for the good ones that I produce. Therefore, I am only giving the edited ones on a CD from now on.
Do you print the pictures too?
I personally do not print them, but I do go to a professional company for my printing needs. I can also recommend some good online printing companies that I’ve used.
Do you charge for the actual session?
Yes I do. However, the sessions include a CD of high-resolution, fully-edited, print-ready images. Print release forms are always available should you choose to print somewhere else.
What’s the price per session?
I charge $250 per session at an outdoor location. You can pick up to three outdoor spots of your choice but please do keep in mind the time it takes to travel between locations. Successful photo sessions are partly dependent on good weather. I am more than happy to reschedule if the weather is awful!
Can I meet you?
Definitely! I prefer to meet over coffee at a bookstore usually after 5pm on weekdays.
